Our Favourite Australian Family Roadtrip Bloggers

Many families are exploring Australia caravan and campervan style, seeing all the sites the country has to offer. We have compiled a list of six of our favourite Australian family road trip bloggers.

Trip in a Van

Heavy duty mechanic Justin and nurse Bec Lorrimer, along with their three children Jack (6), Billy (4) and Charli (3), are travelling Australia caravan style. Covering travel tips, gear, travel stories, itineraries, destinations, accommodation and fishing in their blog, Trip in a Van, they packed up their Newcastle, NSW-based home in 2015 and have been travelling Australia ever since.

The Blonde Nomads

The Blonde Nomads is a blog by builder/carpenter Rob and photographer, graphic designer and marketing manager Tracy, on a caravan road trip around Australia with their children Marli and Ziggy. They cover family travel, camping, caravanning and other travel tips, hoping to inspire others to go out and explore the world.

Wander to Wonder Oz

The Davey Family left home in 2017 to escape the daily grind and show their children the wonders of Australia. Leigh, Tegan and their children Bodhi (7) and Finn (5) travel in their Bailey Rangefinder Gemini caravan and cover travel tips and destinations throughout their journey across the country.

Four Hands in a Tin Can

Four Hands in a Tin Can is a blog by Pete, Annie, their two children Liam and Mia and their dog. Having nicknamed themselves ‘the four hands’ upon realising that the first letters of their names spelt ‘palm’, and travelling in a ‘tin can’ caravan, the family named their blog Four Hands in a Tin Can, left the NSW country town they were living in and began travelling in January of 2016.

Following two decades of service to the NSW Police, the family is travelling Australia to take time for themselves and their children. They cover the day-to-day life of travelling the country.

Max & Ivy

Max and Ivy is a blog by Lily and Geoff, named after their children Max (4) and Ivy (3), as they travel Australia in a VW campervan.
